My name is Alan Golden and I'm a Wedding Photographer based in Faithlegg, County Waterford. Consistently though, this has still meant keeping images as natural looking as possible with no obvious signs of post processing (Photoshop), using natural light whenever possible but not depending on sunny days to make super images. So, no matter what the conditions, I can make it work for you. I love natural light, anyone involved in Irish photography does, but what if its 4pm in the middle of December and the bride is leaving the church. Or even in summer when a family outdoor portrait has been organised and the light is really flat. This is Ireland, so anything is possible. When there isn't too much light to work with, that's where my expertise in off camera flash comes in. A flash used on top of a camera is fine if it's just there to add a catch-light to the eyes, but if it's there to light the subject then there are going to be harsh shadows which will be unflattering. Winter weddings are a speciality of mine when shooting indoors most of the time. Images need to look beautiful and natural still without the harshness of an on camera flash.
