Company description

My name is Alan Golden and I'm a Wedding Photographer based in Faithlegg, County Waterford. For me, wedding photography is all about telling your story and capturing the biggest day of your life - your wedding is unique and there will never be another like it. On our website you will find everything you need to know about hiring a photographer for your wedding in Ireland, or planning one of our lifestyle portrait shoots. I find that as a wedding photographer Waterford is an ideal base to cover weddings throughout the local region and beyond into the stunning Irish countryside. Photographic style of Golden Moments Photography / Wedding Photographers Ireland

My photographic style continues to evolve and a look through the images on the home page will demonstrate this.

Consistently though, this has still meant keeping images as natural looking as possible with no obvious signs of post processing (Photoshop), using natural light whenever possible but not depending on sunny days to make super images. So, no matter what the conditions, I can make it work for you.

I love natural light, anyone involved in Irish photography does, but what if its 4pm in the middle of December and the bride is leaving the church. Or even in summer when a family outdoor portrait has been organised and the light is really flat. This is Ireland, so anything is possible. When there isn't too much light to work with, that's where my expertise in off camera flash comes in.

A flash used on top of a camera is fine if it's just there to add a catch-light to the eyes, but if it's there to light the subject then there are going to be harsh shadows which will be unflattering.

Winter weddings are a speciality of mine when shooting indoors most of the time. Images need to look beautiful and natural still without the harshness of an on camera flash.
