Review about Heatwise, Tullamore

I purchased a stove recently after seeing it on the website and was exactly what I was looking for, I paid for it and was assured that it would be delivered in 3 to 4 weeks as it was out of stock, which wasn't an issue, as I was in no major panic. About 30 minutes after I paid, I received a phone call to say they could'nt sell me the stove at the price on the website as it had gone up by 520 euros, and they offered me a full refund, which I took as I was absolutely shocked and disgusted with the service. I can totally understand that materials have gone up in all trades due to covid, but if so, the website should have been updated, and to have such a diffference in price was totally out of order, I could have understood an extra hundred or two, but 520 euros of a difference to the price quoted on the website is a bit much. All I was offered was a full refund, not even a discount for the inconvenience. The level of customer service I received was appaling and because of this I will never use Heatwise again, and will be telling friends and family about my experience also.

Hi Tina , I was very disappointed to read your review and to see you you were unhappy with your service here in Heatwise. As a company that is 36 years in business the last thing we would do is intentionally upset any of our customers and if you feel we did I apologise whole heartedly but I must explain our side of this matter. You purchased a stove that when your payment was received we did not have in stock.There was a cross over in sales and unfortunately the last stove we had here was actually paid for prior to your payment and being held for another customer. When our salesperson contacted our purchasing department he was told that we did not have any more at this price in stock but even worse that the manufacturer had none and would not have one for weeks. We were then informed that the stoves had increased by over 500 euros since we had purchased them previously. Unfortunately we are facing daily increases in the price of all products and at this stage it is impossible to keep up with them. Steel - Copper - Plastics have all risen by over 50% since the 1st of January and there are more increases following every day. Our Salesperson did what he thought was the correct thing and refunded your money immediately as (A) we did not have a stove to give you and did not even have an exact date when we would have one and (B) the price increase was so large we could no longer supply the stove at the price advertised. I know this does not get you the stove you wanted and believe me the last thing I ever want to do is refund money because we don't have something in stock but our salesperson wanted to get you your money back as quick as possible. I hope this explains in a little detail the dilemma we faced and that the only action we could take was a full and expedient refund. Sincerely - Michael Daly - Managing Director - Heatwise.
