17th Oct 2021 update: No suprise for us the van failed DOE after garage taking car back and supposedly fixing issues before they dumped it back in garden without permission , Todays update 23rd Oct 2021 the van was dropped in my dads driveway this afternoon when my dad was not at home without permission and keys just put through letterbox without any mechanics report or feedback from the garage.please all note solicitors letter stated refund and mechanics report by 16th Oct instead they drop van back in driveway on 23rd Oct when no one home and my poor dad came home to a recovery van just about to drive off and the driver than began shouting at dad. He has been left in an awful way since 18th Oct :Update on my review LPD garage have ignored the solicitors letter sent in regards to my dads refund the van as you can see below was taken back by garage on the 14th sept and still no refund. They are not answering calls as they have blocked our mobiles. All we as a family are asking for is the full refund paid for the van This is my third time posting as I was asked by the garage to take first post down, I am trying to help my elderly dad who is not in good health and recovering from a stroke, who made the mistake judgement of buying a van off LPD car sales in 5a bawn road Tallaght as a suprise for another family member, van delivered on back of recovery truck checked by two mechanics and deemed unsafe and unroadworthy, so after two days of contacting them they collected van on Tuesday 14th after many run rounds with calls to see had their mechanic looked at it, I decided to call-on Monday 20th sept only to be abused on the phone (same chat fully documented). my husband also called and was threatened. weds morning 22nd sept i than got a call from ? The manager as I had been told by manager on weds he would give me two hours to take down reviews in order to discuss the situation with my dads van and he hung up. I duly did same in the Hope of having this very stressful situation sorted for my dad, No calls received therefore posts were put back up. I was told via Text Thursday night 23 rd septI would get call Friday at 10 no call. So I sent a message at 11.30 and got a call from salesman late that evening saying he would need to talk to the manager regarding a possible refund via electronic route and that he promised to ring me today to discuss if manager approved refund. Their mechanic had looked at it and faulty gasket I didn’t ask much else as we have a list of issues from our mechanics. And concerns also from the cartell and carmedic report which we paid to get done, these concerns will not be discussed for now legal reasons. Last night Friday night 24th sept at 8.50pm I received some very strange texts defending the manager and about my bad reviews (screenshot of same taking as evidence) , than of course today No call till I text at 3 for an update and I got a call saying they were awaiting on bank details considering during yesterday’s chat the salesman was awaiting the manager to approve a possible refund and had promised to ring to tell me if approved , now bearing in mind I wasn’t giving them my elderly dads details after all they have put him through so I offered mine and I was declined and he asked if comments can be taken down then they will refund, I replied I am not taking comments down until we get a refund to which I was told “well we will just deliver the van back the way it was “ and they hung up on me. I tried to ring back to be told I am with someone and hung up again. I would advise everyone to keep documented evidence of conversations had,all calls them on loudspeaker if someone else in the room so you have a witness, We have been through hell as a family with this and my poor dad is going through so much stress cos he believed he could trust them at LPD cos they advised him they could be trusted. And it is not also illegal to post a review that is of full truth
