We run a Montessori based curriculum and ethos. The school is open Monday to Friday 08.45 to 12.15. We have a capacity for 22 children and there are 3 teachers. We have a navy track suit uniform with our school logo attached to the top. We participate in the government's E.C.C.E. Free preschool year scheme. We have been established since 1993. Two of the teachers have been working together for over 15 years so there is continuity from one year to the next. We have two rooms, one fully equipped with the Montessori materials and the second a combination between Montessori and play, we have our home corner, Lego, building bricks etc. Our materials are from simple to complex, concrete to abstract to enable the child understand his world. We agree with Maria Montessori when she stated " the education of even a very small child does not aim at preparing him/her for school, but for life"
