ALONE provides Support Coordination, Befriending, Supportive Housing and Campaigns for Change services to hundreds of older people every week. We are an independent organisation and receive no Government funding for our day-to-day activities, therefore we rely solely on the generosity of the public to continue our work. 100% of all donations go directly to our front line services. ALONE’s services are quality approved and are delivered 365 days a year. We operate with a ratio of 1 staff member to every 18 volunteers. ALONE has a rights based approach and believes that older people should not be dependent on charity and where possible, should be supported to live in the community. When an older person comes to us for help we work with them to address their immediate situation and ensure long-term solutions for them to live independently. When necessary we link the older person with the relevant supports they need to age at home.
