The Kumon study centre in Mallow opened in February 2005. During this time, we have helped hundreds of students unlock their potential on our maths and English programmes. Kumon is a programme for children of all ages and abilities; currently students at the centre range in age from five to 16 years old. The centre is set in the Mallow GAA complex, so there is ample free parking and parents can wait in the comfort of the lounge while their children are in the centre. Unlike the process of a traditional grinds, Kumon encourages students to take their learning into their own hands. The role of the Kumon Instructor is to provide guidance, support and encouragement, allowing the student to develop their own independent learning strategies. Students advance ahead of their school level and hence develop confidence and self-esteem.
