Through working with some of the best craftsmen and leather manufacturers in the business globally (we have clients in Poland, France, Italy, Germany, China, USA) we have refined our selection skills. We like to think that we are the best in the field at selecting quality sheep and lamb skins and cowhides. With Irish Hide Designs we have combined our product knowledge with our contacts in the furniture manufacturing sector to produce a range of unique pieces of furniture. Having a passion for all things leather and hide and we want to express our appreciation of these natural materials in our range of furniture and rugs which will be enjoyed and appreciated all over the world. We use quality natural materials carefully selected by us from the West of Ireland. We were recently certified by Guaranteed Irish as producers of a range of products which are 100% Irish. Our aim is to make Irish Hide Designs a strong Irish brand synonymous with quality and design. We are committed to creating furnishings which will look contemporary and timeless.

Established more than 75 years ago, James O’Connell is a traditional, family-run, leather goods store in the heart of Limerick City. The majority of James O’Connell products are handmade with genuine leather by ourselves in our very own workshop.
