Using essential oils is such an easy way to reduce stress, they are so versatile and easy to use.
Bergamot is known as the "little oil of stress" and is simultaneously calming & uplifting. Lavender, one of the best known oils, is calming and balances the mood. Ylang Ylang (pronounced E-lang E-lang) regulates the heartbeat and controls the amount of adrenaline produced by the body.
Using these 3 oils in a bath is fantastic if you have had a stressful, busy day or if you have trouble sleeping.
Use one drop of each of these oils in one and a half teaspoons of milk, add to the bath and soak for 20 minutes if possible.
Yes I did say milk!! Essential oils dissolve in milk and it does not leave an oily residue on the bath. There will be no trace of milk in the bath water as it completly disappears.
Lavender should not be used by anyone who is preganant and Bergamot should be avoided if you intend to go out in bright sunlight or use a sunbed within 48 hours of using it.
Enjoy.......
