We follow a holistic approach to taking care of the clients who come to the clinic. One of our strongest points is the time we take. Our initial assessment is extremely thorough and fact finding so that we can give the maximum amount of assistance. Whether it is for Physiotherapy or Acupuncture treatment or a specific programme for Weight Management we follow through with each person until they get the result they want. All our Physiotherapy treatments are hands on and based on tried and tested regimes that have been successful many many times over. We have standard Acupuncture and Cosmetic Acupuncture and Dry needling. The Weight Management Programme is a nutritional cleansing regime involving Aloe Vera gel. We also run Pilates, Yoga and an over 50s exercise class called Body Tone.

Acupuncture for Infertility Acupuncture can increase fertility by reducing stress, increasing blood flow to the reproductive organs and balancing the endocrine system. Acupuncture can provide better blood flow to the ovaries and uterus, creating a stronger chance for an egg to be nourished and carried to term. Modern acupuncture consists of the gentle insertion and stimulation of thin, disposable sterile needles at strategic points near the surface of the body. Over 2, 000 acupuncture points on the human body connect with 14 major pathways, called meridians. Chinese medicine practitioners believe that these meridians conduct qi, or energy, between the surface of the body and internal organs. It is qi that regulates spiritual, emotional, mental and physical balance. When the flow of qi is disrupted through poor health habits or other circumstances, pain and/or disease can result. Acupuncture helps to keep the normal flow of this energy unblocked, thereby increasing a couple's chances of conceiving. Acupuncture for Infertility and IVF Research suggests that acupuncture may be helpful to couples undergoing in-vitro fertilization (IVF). In 2002, a team of German researchers discovered that acupuncture significantly increased the odds of pregnancy among a group of 160 women who were undergoing IVF treatment. The researchers speculated that acupuncture helped increase blood flow to the uterus and relax the muscle tissue, giving the embryos a better chance of implanting. This research has led to the German Protocol being developed. This is a series of acupuncture points beings used at specific times during the IVF process. The German Protocol is used at the Acupuncture zone clinic in Dublin. Clare has had a number of clients who are now pregnant as a result of IVF combined with Acupuncture.
