Insanely rude and unhelpful, I contacted them last week and the person who answered was the rudest and most unhelpful person. I can't believe anyone with a job would be that unprofessional, abrupt and unhelpful. Avoid this place and try elsewhere

I requested a spare wheel from them and they told me it would be ready but just to give them a ring beforehand, a few days later I rang and asked if they still had it, I spoke to a guy (not the friendliest in the world) and he told me he had it and gave me a ref number and that I could come collect it. I had to ask a work colloegue to drop me there from Tullamore (which was way out of the way for him and it was a Friday evening), when I got there I was told that my order had been SOLD, I explained that I had been talking to a guy earlier, she asked him and he mumbled in a very unconcerned manner "he only rang at lunch-time", while he kept gazing at his computer and kept his back to me , (it was actually 5 and a half hours before that I rang). Anyway, whether it was 5 1/2 hours before or an hour before ? Whats the difference ? You don't tell someone to come if you don't have it. I could have had a 60 mile journey for all he knew. They said they would check to see if they had another one, so myself and colloegue had to wait over 30 mins, they did find a wheel eventually (older one), I did get sorted but it could just as easily have been a wasted journey for 2 people and no apology was given at any stage. The guy who told me to come collect couldn't have given less of a damn and in fact never spoke to me at all. I left feeling very angry. I wouldn't recommend Whelan's Auto Dismantler's if you have an alternative and if you like an acceptable level of customer service.
