Colm Deignan is a chartered accountant and was a partner in Crowe Horwath, a large accounting practice and Dermot O’ Rourke is a solicitor and a founding partner of O’Rourke Reid law firm. Dermot and Colm first met when a mutual client of theirs was acquiring a hotel property in Dublin city in 1990. They subsequently worked together on several commercial transactions and developed a great mutual respect for one another.

Colm has spent over thirty years helping clients overcome problems and creating resolutions to complex disputes. At the same time Dermot has advised his clients of the legal issues and complexities involved in commercial and property transactions.

Colm and Dermot are both full time mediators accredited by the Mediators’ Institute of Ireland.
In forming The Mediation Partnership they bring their vast experience of commercial transactions, commercial disputes, litigation and financial matters to help parties resolve potentially damaging disputes in a reasonable and confidential manner through Mediation.
