Excellent customer service! I ordered two folding luggage racks online. Both arrived as scheduled. One, however, was damaged. It was amazingly easy to return it and receive its replacement by pick up and delivery right to my door in Donegal. I’ll for sure be a return customer. Thank you especially to Peter Kelly, an excellent staff member who responded promptly and informatively to my emails. Definitely visit this store in person or online!

Ordered set of two beautiful Christmas string light lanterns. Unfortunately one was broken on arrival . Returned to store today . Immediately replaced and was supplied with the required batteries for both and also a wee soap to apologise for the inconvenience. Fantastic customer service thank you . I will return ☺️

I popped in with my friend to buy a feather duster. The lady serving us (tall, thin, blonde and in late 50/60's) short changed me in addition to denying it. I had given her 50 pounds and some coins so she could conveniently give me back a note rather than change. When I counted it in front of her she absolved herself of all responsibility and commented that I may have put it into my bag. I wasn't that bothered as it was only 3 euro, but her attitude was very indignant. A bit of a shame as I live in Monkstown and I am doing my house up. I certainly told all my neighbours and my mother hasn't set foot in there since. I adore my local village and support every shop which has sprung up in the last few years, however this experience means I will never spend enter this shop again and will certainly let my regrettable experience be known. I hope she realized what she had done that day when she totted up her till at the end of the day and donated that three euro to charity in a bid to better a bad situation and terrible lack of customer service.

Dear Peter, I am writing on behalf of my sister. She visited your store recently and left the shop in tears. The lady who was working in the store made her and her two little girls very upset and to say it was like a scene from pretty women is an understatement. My sister was widowed three years ago and herself and her girls decided they would like to furnish her living room in some soft furnishings, the lady was rude and unhelpful and basically wanted her and her girls out of the store and anything my sister asked just dismissed her. She rang me most upset and as a solicitor I advised write a letter to the company and as a business owner myself I would be appalled if any member of my staff acted like this. She sent an email and outlined her upset and how she was made feel, a week later received a very poor email no apology. Her complaint was not acted on and i will be outlining to the general public never visit this store again and I would be grateful if she would receive an apology by close of business regs ciara

Company description
The Blue Door is our independently owned shop. We have put together a collection of furnishings and gifts for the home and hope that you will like them as much as we do. Since opening we have had a wonderful and positive reaction from customers and we try very hard to offer you something different. We specialize in soft furnishings for the home. For some people mixing and matching colours can be difficult and we like to feel that we are especially helpful in this area. Our name comes from the townland called ‘The Blue Door’ which is near where we live. We hope that you can visit our shop but if you can't we have decided to make it a little easier and come to you! Enjoy The Blue Door and we hope you find it a pleasant shopping experience.
