I come here often and ususally they are very good and there food is lovely but last visit i made we were waiting over 1hour 30 minutes all together, we were waiting 30 minutes to be served and then we were waiting an hour for our food.. only when decided to leave did our food arrive.
Also the little details were lacking in our order and the whole experience.
I dont think we will be returning again..

Straffan Antiques and Design Centre is a family run business with over 20 years of experience in the furniture business.
Esatablished 1988, Maries Antiques and Pianos traded for 16 sucessful years in the village of Clane Co.Kildare.
In 2003 the growing family business felt the need to expand. So Straffan Antiques and Design centre evolved with the relocation of entire business to the wonderful 18th century stone farm buildings of Barberstown House at Straffan Co. Kildare. This presented the opportunity to expand the business in the following main areas:

The Victorian Tea Rooms offer a wide range of quality food and cakes in the unique setting of the 18th century stone farm buildings of Straffan Courtyard.
All cakes, breads, scones and savoury dishes are made in our kitchens daily by our chef. We also provide a selection of gluten free options to cater for our customers.
Come and try our beautiful chocolate and orange scones or our tasty farmhouse brown bread(all which are available to take home!!)
Our afternoon tea is a lovely treat and is proving extremely popular. We offer a selection of over 15 teas, all of which are served in china tea cup. Our coffee is a smooth Italian roast, specifically designed for Irish tastes.
