Stagg Cycles, Lucan

I initially had a very positive experience with Stagg Cycles when I approached them about my Bike to Work Scheme. The staff were friendly, approachable, kind and very helpful, which gave me confidence in choosing them. Unfortunately, once my employer had paid the €1,500, the level of customer service changed significantly. When I collected my bike, I felt rushed out of the shop because the owner was closing early, and I left without all of the accessories I had paid for. I was patient and returned several times to collect outstanding items, but each visit meant dealing with different staff members and having to explain everything again. My most recent visit, to have the final service completed and collect the kickstands, was particularly disappointing. I felt rushed and dismissed, and when I phoned ahead I was abruptly told they were “up the walls.” In the shop, I was spoken to in a way I found unnecessarily rude, including being told to “stop making faces” when I was simply tired after work. I understand that bike shops get busy, and I always try to be patient and respectful. However, I don’t think customers should be made to feel like an inconvenience once payment has been received. It’s a shame because the experience started so well, but the after-sales service left me feeling undervalued and unlikely to return.
