SAVINS MUSIC CENTRE LIMITED, Limerick

Established in 1959, Savins is a family run business in the heart of Limerick City. The name Savins is synonymous with everything connected to audio, video, music and home automation. Its nameplate has maintained its location on Limerick’s main thoroughfare at 111 O’Connell Street for the past 50 years.

A major refurbishment in 2003 transformed Savins into a modern state-of-the-art store accessible and amenable to customers. On the ground floor from the O’Connell Street entrance is the TV/Audio/Hi–Fi department. This floor carries all the top brands including Sony, Panasonic, Bose, Yamaha, Denon, Marantz, Monitor Audio and KEF, giving customers a wide and varied choice of top quality products.

Upstairs the mezzanine floor is dedicated to sheet music and music books and it’s a musical experience to browse through what is available – it’s a virtual Aladdin’s musical cave with material for the beginner/amateur to the professional. Savins take great pride in the fact that they possess the greatest collection of printed music in the Mid-West region.

In 2008 two sound rooms where opened off the mezzanine floor to provide customers with the opportunity to test hifi and home cinema products in the comfort of a Georgian style setting. This novel concept enables the customer to experience the pleasure of modern technology in 18th century Georgian splendor.

In the basement is the musical instrument department and there, on 1400 square feet, are musical instruments including digital pianos, keyboards, drum kits, guitars, accordions, violins, banjos, bodhrans and a selection of wind instruments as well as a host of accessories to compliment all instruments. Again all the top brands are stocked here: Yamaha, Fender, Roland, Ibanez, Tanglewood, Takamine, Boss and Marshall.

In addition to the retail store, Savins provide installation services specializing in multi-room audio and video systems, smart home technology and commercial installations.
