Platform Architecture, Bandon

Platform Architecture was established by Architect Eugene OHea and Architectural Technician, Pat Donegan, as a vehicle to explore their design philosophies, from concept through to construction stage. The practice works primarily in a rural context. The practice is concerned with how buildings interact and respond to their given environments, conceptually, aesthetically and ecologically. We have a particular interest in free forms and in exploring projects whose external forms result from, and are defined by, internal spaces as responses to their function. Both principals have previously worked for a wide variety of architectural practices in Ireland as well as overseas and have together gained over 30 years of experience in design and construction.
