Description

Mellon Educate is an Irish-based development charity dedicated to transforming lives through education and housing initiatives in disadvantaged communities in South Africa. Founded in 2002, the organisation has mobilised thousands of volunteers to build over 25, 000 homes and deliver large-scale education programmes impacting more than 100, 000 children.

Through its flagship annual Building Blitz and ongoing literacy and school support initiatives, Mellon Educate focuses on breaking the cycle of poverty by improving access to quality education, creating employment opportunities, and empowering communities for long-term sustainable change.
