Description
The Kumon Method of Learning was developed in 1954 by Toru Kumon, both a parent and gifted teacher from Japan. He discovered his own son, Takeshi, was not fulfilling his potential in maths at school and so created worksheets for him to do at home every day. We still stand firm to the founding principles outlined by Toru Kumon today.
Company description
The Kumon Maths and English Programmes were launched in Ireland in 2000 and have since supported thousands of students to master the fundamental skills so important to improve their overall academic performance. With each day of Kumon study, a child develops in both their academic ability and their confidence, as they experience success and work out how to overcome challenges by themselves. We are very proud of our heritage and are continually amazed by the true potential of children.
