If you are a youth leader or teacher and need some time outdoors in a safe environment with a little or a lot of challenge, we can combine walks with a variety of activities on the go, plus commentary on the history and folklore of the area we travel through. Damian & Margaret of HikingIreland.ie Welcome to HikingIreland We are Damian and Margaret Godwin owners and guides at HikingIreland. We live in Lusk in north county Dublin, within easy reach of several mountain ranges and some really beautiful coastal walks. We are experienced climbers, hikers, trekkers and walkers, who have climbed in Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains, in the Alps across Europe, Spain’s highest peaks and trekked in America, Cuba, Peru and the Balearic Islands and of course here in our own beautiful Ireland. We have over 30 years experience between us with Scouting Ireland and have the practical knowledge to engage with children and young adults. We can offer interesting and fun walking/hiking days to your class or scout group. We can cater for individuals and walking groups of any size. We can help you with training walks if you are heading off on a trekking holiday or taking part in a charity challenge. We take a great delight in showing off the many different aspects of our lovely island. From our extremely popular coastal walks near Dublin to longer hikes/treks throughout the whole of Ireland. Our sample walk pages can’t really do justice to the huge range of day walks, treks and hikes that we have available. We look forward to sharing some great days out with you in the great outdoors. Bray Head to Greystones
OK erstens das ist wirklich ein Spaziergang Wicklow, in seiner hier aufgrund seiner Zugänglichkeit von der Dart (Dublin Area Rapid Transit)-Linie.
Unsere Wanderung beginnt auf der Promenade, die die einst den Spitznamen gab Bray von Irlands Brighton wegen der wirklich schönen Fassade seiner Strand. Von hier skalieren wir Bray Head mit seinem Gipfel auf 241m, die für einen relativ geringen Höhe bietet uns einige wirklich spektakuläre Aussicht über Land und Meer. Weiter schließen wir uns dem Felsen zu Fuß nach Greystones. Dieser Abschnitt unserer Wanderung ist ein echter Leckerbissen für Fotografen mit herrlichem Meerblick und Aufnahmen von der Bahnlinie und Tunnel. Wir halten in dem ruhigen Fischerdorf von Greystones für Kaffee und ein Snack dann wieder verfolgen unsere Schritte mit den Ansichten in die entgegengesetzte Richtung, während der Wanderung werden wir Zeit, über die Bahn selbst unterhalten zu haben, die Geschichte der Grundbesitzer, Schmuggler, Händler und auch die heimlichen Transport von den Überresten einer von Irlands größten Nationalhelden Diese Wanderung hat eine Option auf Rückkehr mit dem Zug von Greystones.
