Giraffe Childcare Milltown is nestled in behind the church at Mount St Anne’s next to Wilde and Green coffee shop. Our purpose designed crèche has a warm, homely feel and we have an open door policy for parents and we hold a number of family events throughout the year. The crèche has 10 spacious rooms, all brightly decorated and arranged to offer each child the chance to explore and investigate their environment, to enable them to learn the skills that they need to develop to become confident, happy learners. We have a designated sensory room for our babies to stimulate all their senses and we have a wonderful role play area for the toddlers and pre-school children. We offer a broad curriculum underpinned by Aistear and Siolta frameworks with a range of opportunities for children to explore and learn through play. All the rooms are on the ground floor and have easy access to our lovely secure outdoor play area for the children to enjoy all year around. We are creating new learning areas in our garden and will have an outdoor growing area and mud kitchen where the children can dig for worms and bugs and we have two pet rabbits in the centre which our children care for We offer full time, part-time and afterschool care for busy parents in the area with collection from our local schools. We run morning and afternoon Montessori sessions for our pre-school children to promote their independence and life skills and we deliver the free pre-school year (ECCE) to prepare your child for school. All our staff are Garda vetted, are fully qualified and attend regular training. We are open all year round from 7.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday except for bank holidays.
