Geraldine Folan, Galway

Her paintings are a response to the distinctive climate where she explores, on both large canvasses and smaller ones, the rapidly shifting weather patterns and changing light effects which are beautifuly expressed in her oil paintings. Watching a stormy sea fills her with excitement, fear and most of all with respect.
Geraldine is often seen on the shore with her brushes out working on her latest creations. She is also known for her art classes where she inspires and educates her students while she demonstrated the techniques she has learned herself and uses in her works.
