Many I.T., High-Tech, and Pharmaceutical businesses from around the world have picked Ireland as their place of business. This means the demand for particular STEAM skills in our work force is at an all-time high, and will continue to grow for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, there has only been a marginal corresponding increase in the number of trained educators in these growing critical fields. In fact, the education norms of using the traditional one-size-fits-all learning have not changed measurably in the past couple of decades. However, the world has changed. Old approaches are no longer as effective in a knowledge-economy that is continuously disrupted by the fast pace of change in everyday technology.
