About BP Driving School

BP Driving School is a fully RSA-approved driving school based in Swords, Co. Dublin, providing professional one-to-one driving lessons across North Dublin. Whether you are a complete beginner picking up your learner permit for the first time or a licensed driver looking to refresh your skills, BP Driving School offers a course tailored to your needs, your schedule, and your pace.
All lessons are conducted in fully insured, dual-control vehicles and are available in both manual and automatic. Every session includes door-to-door pickup from your home, workplace, or any convenient location across our service area.

Our Courses
Essential Driver Training (EDT)
The standard 12-lesson RSA-mandated course for first-time learner drivers in Ireland. Covers all required EDT topics from basic vehicle control and road positioning through to higher-speed road driving, night driving awareness and eco-driving. Lessons are 2 hours each, taken at your own pace, with your RSA log card updated after every session.
Reduced EDT
For learners who hold a full driving licence from certain countries not eligible for direct Irish licence exchange, Reduced EDT offers a 6-lesson programme focused on Irish-specific road rules and RSA test requirements. Available in English or Croatian.
Pre-Test Driving Lessons
Targeted lessons in the weeks before your RSA driving test. Sessions focus on real test routes at Finglas, Raheny and Balbriggan test centres, polishing manoeuvres and addressing any weak areas identified during training.
Mock Driving Test
A full RSA driving test simulation conducted on the actual test routes used at Finglas, Raheny or Balbriggan test centres. Your instructor assesses using the same fault criteria and grading system as the real test, followed by detailed verbal feedback so you know exactly what to improve before test day.
Practice & Standalone Sessions
Flexible 2-hour sessions for learners who have completed their EDT and want to build confidence, work on specific manoeuvres such as junctions and roundabouts, or simply keep their skills sharp. No package required — book as many or as few as you need.
Refresher Lessons
Fully licensed drivers returning to the road after a break can book flexible refresher sessions to rebuild confidence and sharpen their skills. Available in manual or automatic, with no minimum booking requirement.
Car Hire for Driving Test
Don't have your own car for test day? BP Driving School provides a fully insured dual-control car — manual or automatic — for your RSA driving test. The service includes a warm-up drive before the test and your instructor accompanies you to the test centre. Subject to availability — early booking is strongly recommended.
