Acara Concepts Ltd is the Irish and UK distributor of a range of very effective thermal and acoustic insulation products which are all made from natural, sustainable and ecological raw materials. All of these products are suitable for new, retrofit and remedial projects.

Pavatex Wood Fibre thermal insulation is suitable for insulating roofs, walls (both internally and externally), floors and attics. These breathable products provide excellent thermal resistance as well as allowing water vapour to pass through very effectively, thus avoiding any risk of condensation and mould in the building. Vapour-open insulation is critical on older buildings which must remain breathable to avoid wet rot and dry rot. Wood fibre is the best insulation for storing excess heat during warm summer days and then it is re-distributed as the room cools at night-time.

The soundproofing board, PhoneStar, significantly reduces both airborne and impact sound through walls, floors and ceilings. These easy to fit boards are only 15mm thick and are CE marked. PhoneStar board gives 36 Decibels (Rw) Airborne Sound Insulation and 21 Decibels (delta Lw) Impact Sound Insulation. They are ideal for noisy neighbour problems as well as for sound insulating offices, hotel rooms, classrooms and recording studios. PhoneStar is breathable, odourless and pollutant free.

Acara Concepts also distributes the Lignotrend range of absorption and reverberation boards. These are quality, natureplus® certified products made from silver fir or spruce timber with a wood fibre backing as the absorption layer. The specially engineered structure is excellent at absorbing sound so that speech recognition is improved and background noise levels are reduced within a room. These finished boards are aesthetically pleasing and offer a very contemporary look, as well as being functional. LIGNO Acoustic Light panels are ideal to use in classrooms, sports halls, community halls, hotels and any open-plan space.
