Fillings are used to repair teeth that have been damaged, either due to injury or decay. By placing a filling, the tooth takes on its normal shape and size, allowing the tooth to continue being used as it should. There are a number of different kinds of fillings available such as composite (white fillings), porcelain (inlays and onlays), and amalgam (silver).
