Kilkieran Cottage is located next to the historical Kilkieran High Crosses, in rural Carrick on Suir. It sits in a beautiful area on the southern slopes of the Boollagh Hills with panoramic views across the Suir Valley Its unique location has made it a special place to go for diners, it is a pleasant change from the town restaurants, and a relaxing getaway from daily routines. The restaurant was built in 1997 opening in 1998. It has become a significant landmark in the area. Kilkieran Cottage Restaurant is known as the ‘Home of Good Food’ where surrounding communities can dine and take special guests, and celebrate special occasions. Ade & Frank ran the restaurant from 1998 to 2002. Due to family pressure, having two young babies to focus on, they decided to lease the restaurant. After the last lease ended in 2012, they have taken charge of the place again. They have a commitment to create a meaningful business that will benefit and enhance the locality.
