Established in 2000, the Arklow Job Club is a free service for unemployed job seekers. We specialise in competency based CV designs, skills analysis, psychometric career and vocational assessments, the psychology of job seeking, analysis of target organisations, confidence building, alternative job seeking strategies, impression management of the application, selection, and interview process. The service is run by Jerry Dixon, one of the very few Registered Work and Organisational Psychologists working with the unemployed, a researcher specialising in job seeking research for the last 16 years. A Fellow of the Psychological Society of Ireland, Jerry has presented at the World Congress of Psychology (Cape Town, 2012) and regularly presents at Psychological conferences in Ireland.
